What is your venture?
My name is Annette Tuncel and I’ve recently set up my business working as a Bowen therapist. Bowen therapy is a holistic bodywork technique, using gentle rolling moves over muscles, tendons and ligaments. Bowen moves stimulate the body to shift from flight/fight/fright mode to rest/relaxation mode and begin the healing and adjustment process.
Bowen therapy is useful for infants to the elderly, treating conditions such as sciatica, frozen shoulder, sore backs, migraines, sports injuries, stress/tension etc.
What’s inspired your work?
As a biologist I was particularly interested in the interconnectedness of systems. I’ve also been interested in health and have seen how pain and injury can impact and diminish people’s lives. Bowen therapy was a natural progression for me, since it works with people holistically.
What’s your focus for the next 3 months?
My focus over the next three months is to increase awareness of the benefits and place of Bowen therapy in both pain and injury management and wellness, and to market AT Bowen Therapy to people in Geraldton and the surrounding areas.
How can people connect or contribute to your venture’s success?
I have a clinic at 63 Gregory St (the pink building) and can be contacted on 0447497218 and Facebook for appointments and information. If you see me at a Pollinators event or elsewhere feel free to come up and chat.
